Every year, for the last few years we have hosted an event during the month of December
focused on celebrating the holidays as a team. Prior to Covid, we would host the event at our
office. During the pandemic, we had to pivot and host this event in a different way. Each year
has been a little different since 2020, but we were excited to have everyone together again in
the same place for the holidays.
In 2020, we did not believe it was safe to host an in person event at our office. So we asked Santa if he would be okay hitting the road. He, of course, agreed, because he’s the best! We sent out a Google Form to see who would be interested in participating. We drove from one home to another of our team members and gave Santa the opportunity for some one-on-one
time with the children of BOG. It was genuinely a wonderful experience being able to bring the joy of Santa to so many children during a very difficult time.
In 2021, we were able to offer an in person celebration at our office, since the transmission numbers were down at that time. It was a much smaller event, but still had a great impact. We reached out to a local omelet and waffle caterer, The Omelette Guys, who were more than
happy to provide brunch. We had some incredible food, crafts, gifts, and lots of fun!
This past year, we had to switch to our larger training room in the warehouse since we had so many team members interested in attending. We again hired The Omelette Guys and had some incredible made-to-order waffles and omelets, fruit, juice, coffee, and desserts. Santa was joined
by our very own Grinch and our families had an incredible time. Every year we make sure to take lots of pictures and send them to our team members so they can cherish those memories.
For our team, this is one of the most special events we plan throughout the entire year. To be in
a room with our team members, their partners and children is a wonderful experience, and we
hope to be able to host this event every year for many years to come.
