Meet Melissa C., our Office Training Coordinator

Melissa strives at building a strong community within the office amongst all team members and departments. She is always willing to help because she understands how overwhelming it can be to start a new job. She does a great job at assuring new hires that they can grow and thrive at Blades of Green.

In Melissa’s free time she enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons, playing board & video games, attending the Renaissance Festival, and spending time with family and friends.

If she could have any super power it would be to heal others. One goal she has for herself is to become fit and strong!

If you’re looking to work with Blades of Green, you are in good hands with Melissa.

Meet Megan G., one of our friendly Client Experience Reps

Megan is shy but very friendly and all departments within our company appreciate how helpful she is.

She is hardworking both at the office and at home, taking care of her daughter Skyler. In Megan’s free time she enjoys hiking, fishing, crafting and taking photos with her friends. One secret talent she has is making homemade hot sauce, using the pepper plants from her garden. Fun fact: She has over 100 pepper plants!

If Megan could have any super power it would be to control people’s emotions/mindsets about others but not for evil. She would like to make everyone feel happy and assured that whatever someone is going through, it will all turn out okay.

While Megan can’t control people’s emotions, she is gifted at keeping our clients happy, informed and educated, which is one of many reasons we are grateful to have her as a Client Experience Rep.

Meet Sierra, our Revenue Conservation Specialist

Sierra is our Revenue Conservation Specialist but is also known for being a beach bum and jokester extraordinaire! They get a zest for life that’s as boundless as the ocean waves.

When they are not busy building sandcastles and cracking jokes, you can find them indulging in other passions like reading, listening to live music and collecting salt and pepper shakers.

If Sierra could have any superpower, it would be shapeshifting! Imagine all the crazy adventures they could have as different creatures or people. Talk about the ultimate party trick?!

Shapeshifter or not, Sierra is a great asset to the Blades of Green team. Here’s a quote on why they enjoys working at Blades of Green:

I am so excited to watch us grow and flourish! Seeing a small local business grow and getting to be a part of all of the exciting new things we are always rolling out is truly the best part of working here.

So there you have it – a glimpse into the life of our beach-loving, joke-cracking, salt & pepper shaker collector! Please join us in wishing them the best of luck on fixing up their new home.

Meet Kelsey S., one of our talented Client Experience Reps

When Kelsey isn’t busy attending to our client’s needs, you can find her soaking up the sun in Ocean City, MD.

Drawing and doodling are her creative outlets, but nothing beats hanging out with her fantastic friends, beloved family, and adorable dogs.

She’s all about making people’s day brighter and has a knack for making people laugh!

If Kelsey could have any superpower, it would be time travel. Imagine all the incredible eras she could explore and the historical figures she could make laugh.

But for now, she’s focused on a different adventure, buying her own home. We are grateful she works with us to achieve this goal.

Q & A with Kelly F., our lawn division manager

Meet Kelly, our talented lawn division manager, with 20+ years of experience in the lawn care industry. Kelly started as a technician and worked her way up through the organization, so she knows a thing or two about what it takes to make your lawn look its best. When she’s not managing our clients’ lawns, you can find her strumming her guitar, camping, exploring breweries and wineries, or taking her shot at the pool table.

What interests you about BOG?

What interests me most about BOG is how innovative we are as a company. No matter what the idea or where it comes from, every department within the company is able to come together to collaborate on an idea. In doing so, we are able to turn a sometimes simple idea into something amazing. Knowing that you can implement innovation like this really makes us stand out as a company.

What are you looking forward to this season?

What I am looking forward to the most this season is getting all the technicians trained to be able to do both lawn and exterior pest services at a property. This will be a huge benefit to the client! If a technician notices a problem during the client’s property inspection that we have a solution for, multi-service technicians will be able to easily diagnose and treat all at the same time! This will ensure that the client is preserving their investment.

What do you want everyone to know about you?

I was born and raised in La Plata, MD and recently moved to Anne Arundel County. I have been in the lawn care industry for almost 22 years. I started out working on a golf course and after 5 years of working 7 days a week, I was ready to find a better work-life balance.

I started out as a lawn technician and worked my way up. Actually, all the current managers on the Production side initially started as technicians and worked their way up. I think it’s good for the technicians to see that we’ve all been in their shoes. I really enjoy all that goes into the process of improving our client’s lawn. There is a lot more work than you would think that goes into just spreading some ol’ fertilizer and spraying some weeds.

If you could have any super power, what would it be?

If I could have any super power it would be to teleport. That way I could take a quick trip to a tropical paradise for my lunch break and get back to work!

What is one goal you are currently working on?

One goal I am currently working on is attempting to refinish my first piece of furniture.

Let’s congratulate Adam B.!

We love to see our team members shine!

Adam Bergstrom is a member of the prestigious Executive Leadership Program, which the National Pest Management Association puts together. Serving in this role is one of the most incredible opportunities in the pest industry to grow professionally.
